SEAT ARONA, SEAT’s new SUV

11 - 07 - 2017
Arona is Seat’s first SUV within the urban SUV B-segment.

SEAT’s new urban crossover, the latest SEAT Ateca’s small brother, is aimed at young customers. It shares the same basis of the iconic Seat Ibiza’s new generation but with a more youthful, simpler and elegant design.

Seat Arona is 4,13 metres long. 8 centimetres more than Ibiza and 22 less than its predecessor Ateca, which is 6 centimetres wider and taller than Arona.
Arona is produced at the same production lines as Ibiza at Seat Martorell (Barcelona) plant, where Procon Systems installed the total bodywork sealing line of all the car models manufactured in this plant.

Seat’s new model uses the MQB A0 platform which has an efficient range of engines available. When purchasing Arona, there is the option to choose between diesel and petrol. It is composed by three or four-cylinder engines which can be joined together with a manual or a DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. In particular, a total of 5 engines will be offered, 3 of them will be petrol engines –95, 115, 150 CV– and the two remaining will be Diesel motors –95, 115 CV–. By mid-2018, SEAT will add a 90 CV Compressed Natural Gas engine (CNG).
