Procon Systems specialises in the installation of robotic cells for handling self-adhesive die-cuts.

13 - 05 - 2024

Procon Systems has commissioned its first robotic cell handling self-adhesive die-cuts at the SEAT / CUPRA factory in Martorell (Spain). This is the first of 3 cells that we are going to design and install in the same factory during the course of 2024. With them, SEAT will be able to produce both current combustion models and the brand's future electric vehicles.

This installation allows the customer to automate the handling self-adhesive die-cuts that were formerly done manually on the production line.

The cell is equipped with FANUC robots mounted on 7º axes, each of them is equipped with a TESA head for positioning the self-adhesive die-cuts. These heads are checked every cycle by a VMT 3D vision system. Each head has a cartridge containing 2,100 adhesive die-cuts; and can be reloaded without affecting the production cycle of the installation.

We are currently carrying out 2 more installations for VW in the Navarra factory (Spain), in this case with FANUC robots and Nagl & Vetter applicator heads.
